Other FPS gamemodes I made: Infected

Introduction
Every good first-person shooter has a gamemode called Demolition, or something like that. Demolition is in my opinion a very fun gamemode and I was wondering how it would be in Minecraft. That's why I made this map. It took me days, weeks to build this, but it was worth all the blood, sweat & tears.

Gameplay & Features
Demolition is a gamemode where one team has to destroy 3 bombsites in a certain amount of time, while the other team prevents that from happening.

First, divide your group of players into two teams: the Blue and the Red Team. The Red Team are the attackers, the Blue Team are the defenders. There also has to be one player who will be the Host. The Host can control the whole game. He can look over the entire map and change settings, such as the weather, difficulty (however it is recommended to play on peaceful), start the game, etc.

Then, when you divided the group of players into equal teams, go down the right tunnel and at the end, press the button. You will now be added to the Blue or Red Team, which is a feature of the scoreboard system, which I will explain later.

Now, when you have pressed the button you will be brought to a room where you can choose your class.

There are 4 classes, which are explained below, with the items you will get:
  • LIGHT: Iron sword + Potion of Swiftness
  • HEAVY: Diamond sword + Potion of Slowness (You will not get this potion, but it will be applied on you)
  • MEDIC: Stone sword + Splash Potions of Regeneration/Healing + Food
  • SNIPER: Bow & Arrows + Splash Potion of Poison
All classes come with a set of chain armor and a leather cap in the color of your team. When the Host has started the game, the doors will open, and you're off for an epic battle!

Huge map
The map itself is pretty huge. You will find dosens of towers, tunnels, traps, houses, villages, bunkers, etc. to hide, fight or just overwatch the area.

Every team also has a giant flag at their entrance. You can climb it and show them your sniping skills. Or you can just press a little button at the bottom and you will magically get a pig, a saddle and a carrot on a stick. The map also contains a NPC village for some close corners combat; but watch out for the Iron Golem though!

I could go on for a couple more hours to name everything in the map, but it's just too much to name it all. Just check it out!

Bombsites
Every member of the Red Team (= the attackers) will get 1 TNT everytime they choose a class. This is the bomb to destroy a bombsite. The bombsites are easy to find: just look up the sky and the beacons will guide you. The bombsites are made of a diamond square with a hole in the middle. Simply placing the TNT in the hole will plant the bomb. From then, a timer with 1 minute on its clock will start. If the bomb won't be defused in that time, the bombsite's gone. To defuse a bomb, simply break the block of TNT. It's as simple as that.

Giant scoreboard
Unlike the scoreboard system which I will explain in the next paragraph, is this scoreboard a huge board which displays which bombsites are destroyed and if there are bombs planted (and where). A picture of it can be seen below:

If the A, B or C next to the TNT symbol lights up, that means the bomb has been planted at that bombsite. (Don't worry, you'll know which bombsite is A/B/C). If the A, B or C next to the red cross symbol lights up, this means the bombsite has been destroyed.

Scoreboard system
The scoreboard system is a brand new system introduced in the latest snapshots. So, to be able to benefit from these awesome features, you will need snapshot 13w06a. However, this is completely optional and not required to play the game!

Like the name says, the scoreboard will display scores. Your health will be displayed below your name and there will be a sidebar on the right of your screen with how many kills you and other players have. Who can get the most kills?
